As you are in the starting area known as Pre-Searing there are only enemies upto a certain level, then you will have to take a quest that will get you to Post-Searing where you can continue to level 20.

The best way to level up is to do all the quests you can find and to kill everything that will give you XP. Once you are about level 6 you can continue with the primary quest that will take you out of the starting area.

For more information please read:

I hope that helps, good luck and have fun.

Prophecies, the 'original' takes a lot longer to level than the others, but it isn't a disadvantage since the content progresses at approximately the same speed as your character.

From your post I'm guess you're still in pre-searing. Everything goes a little faster once you have your secondary profession and leave pre. Just follow the quests. It's much faster to gain XP that way than just killing mobs.

Welcome to Guild Wars! The original Guild Wars doesn't allow for fast leveling using normal game play. Don't worry, though, it'll only take you a 2-4 weeks (depending on how much time you spend playing) to get to level 20. The fastest way to level up is by doing every quest you can get your hands on.

You should get to level 7 or 8 doing the quests where you're at. Make sure you do all of the skill quests for your warrior and I'd suggest doing the training quests for all the secondary professions before deciding on which secondary to take, if you haven't already done that.

As far as "What to do?" Just play around and explore the area you're in by doing quests and enjoying the view. Try out the new skills you get along the way to get an idea of how other professions work. And when you're ready, join the Acadamy for excitement, adventure, and really wild things!

It works that way so you can actually learn how to play your character and get to know your skills. Leveling will move a bit faster once you get to post, but don't rush. Take your time and learn your skills and you'll be a much better player for it.
